How We Found The Void
I was burnt out from corporate life, carrying 40 extra pounds, and couldn't play with my kids without losing my breath. That's when I realized traditional gyms weren't cutting it - nobody was there to push you past your comfort zone. Started training in my garage with whatever I could find.
Word spread and suddenly ten people were showing up to my "garage gym" at 5am. We were doing burpees in the rain, tire flips in the alley - didn't matter. Everyone wanted that raw, no-BS approach to getting fit. That's when the concept clicked.
Found this spot on Granville - nothing fancy, just solid equipment and space to work. Mystral Void Fitness opened with 30 founding members who believed in the vision. No mirrors, no judgement, just people ready to transform their limits.
We've grown to over 300 members, but kept the same philosophy. Added nutrition coaching 'cause you can't out-train a bad diet. Brought in recovery workshops after seeing too many people push without proper rest. It's been a journey.
Every day I watch people discover what they're actually capable of. That's what keeps me going. We're not the biggest gym in Vancouver, but we're definitely the realest. Come see what embracing the void really means.

Our Training Philosophy
Look, you don't need to spend two hours at the gym. Give me 45 minutes of focused, high-intensity work and you'll see better results than endless cardio. We're about quality reps, proper form, and pushing when it counts.
Forget the bodybuilding splits. We train movements, not muscles. Everything we do translates to real life - picking up your kid, carrying groceries, playing sports. If it doesn't make you more capable outside the gym, what's the point?
Working out alone sucks. That's just facts. When you're part of a crew that shows up consistently, you'll show up too. We celebrate wins together and push through the tough days as a unit. No one gets left behind here.
You gotta keep challenging your body or it stops adapting. Every session builds on the last one. We track your progress, adjust the weights, modify the movements - all so you're constantly improving without burning out or getting injured.
Hustle culture will wreck you. I learned this the hard way. Rest days aren't weakness - they're when your body actually gets stronger. We build recovery into the program, teach you about sleep and nutrition, and make sure you're not just grinding yourself down.
Real talk - getting fit is hard. There's no magic pill or shortcut. But when you lean into the discomfort instead of running from it, that's where transformation happens. The void is that space between where you are and where you wanna be. We'll help you cross it.
First class is on us. Come see if we're the right fit for you - no pressure, no sales pitch.
